RESPONSIBILITIES

Seeking UAS Maintainers for land based or ship deployments. All candidates should be willing and able to work in a high-threat environment under austere conditions and pass pre-deployment medical screening (CENTCOM MOD 14). A battery of aptitude tests and system currency or training will be conducted which the candidate must pass. Personnel will be expected to deploy on various contracts and meet mission requirements as required by the onsite customer.

Duty Location: OCONUS

• Perform pre-flight checklists and participate in mission briefings
• Maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, fuel systems and mechanical components
• Adjusts, repairs or replaces electrical wiring system and aircraft accessories
• Performs pre-flight, thru-flight and post-flight maintenance inspections
• Performs miscellaneous duties to service aircraft
• Participates in post mission debriefing; completes appropriate forms and prepares for following days operations
• Utilizes checklist and appropriate manuals to perform maintenance procedures on the UAS
• Assists with various maintenance actions as required by the Site Manager
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior UAS Maintainer or manned aircraft maintenance required
• 2+ years UAS Maintainer or manned aircraft maintenance preferred
• Secret DoD Security Clearance
• Ability to work independently and in a small team environment
• Willingness to travel no less than 6 months out of every year (CONUS and OCONUS)
• High school Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass pre-deployment medical and dental screenings (CRC/NDC)
• Strong computer literacy

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Preferred MOS: 15E, 6314
• Prior Military Service including operational deployment supporting the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT)
• Aircraft and Powerplant Certification preferred
• Strong mechanical background
• Previous OCONUS deployment experience with a UAS or other aviation system
• Knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers
• Working knowledge of technical publications

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is based in an austere environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Work outside and in inclement weather conditions may be required. Rotations will be 120-180 days OCONUS. Work hours are based on a twelve hour work day, seven days per week.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 70 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday. Requires constant use of hands and fingers to feel, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
