Fort Myer Construction Corporation is seeking to hire a Traffic Signal Technician (IMSA Level 2) assists in the installation and troubling shooting of traffic and streetlight equipment in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards.
Responsibilities:
Assists in the installation and troubleshooting of traffic and streetlight equipment in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes and industry standards,
Assists in installing, repairing, and maintaining traffic and streetlight systems,
Assists in servicing traffic and street light equipment by checking, testing, and replacing faulty components such as LED modules, lamps, photocells, electronic traffic components, poles, cables, loop detector, and fixtures,
Receives and follows directions from crew leads (Tech II) on miscellaneous tasks that are needed throughout the shift,
Receives and follow direction from others in management positions to include: logistics managers, warehouse managers, superintendents, project managers, and group managers,
Assists in the installation of traffic and streetlight cables,
Housekeeping of work area and work vehicles,
Re-stocking of work vehicles or storage areas,
Perform pre and post vehicle and equipment inspections, and
Additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Must have a minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience working on roadway lighting, traffic signals and underground & overhead projects,
Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience operating a bucket truck,
Selected candidates must possess an acceptable driving record,
Ability to use a computer to pull work orders from on line tool and print,
Must have a valid driver’s license,
Basic knowledge of the theory of electricity and electronics,
Excellent safety and driving records and reliable transportation,
IMSA Traffic Signal Technician Level 2 required,
IMSA Roadway Lighting Technician Level 1 preferred, and
Washington DC Electrical License preferred (Company pays for annual continuing education and license renewal),
