Job Title: Technical Trainer
Location: Falls Church, VA (75% US Travel)
Description:
ALEX - Alternative Experts is now hiring a skilled Technical Trainers for an opportunity that involves travel to various training sites across the US for approximately 2 weeks at each location. The selected candidates will be responsible for providing in-person software training for government employees. Specific duties include but are not limited to:
- Reviewing project documents, training materials, policies, and standards of conduct and behavior
- Collaborating with training staff to deliver technical training sessions
- Visiting various training sites to implement technical training
- Instructing trainers and co-facilitating on-site training sessions
- Following principles of hands-on experiential learning in designing technical training
- Using agency adopted design and presentation formats throughout the project
- Developing working relationships with training & travel staff as well as agency staff at training locations
- Collecting and recording recommended improvements to training sessions and audio-visual resources
- Developing and submitting periodic reports in a timely manner
- Submitting technical training reports and documenting all lessons and activities for use in the future
- Contributing to deployment, setup, configuration, and operation of training equipment
- Following policies, procedures, and guidelines for professional trainer behavior
Required:
- Eligibility to obtain a Public Trust or Secret level security clearance
- 5 or more years of experience designing and facilitating IT training sessions
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Excellent computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, & Outlook)
Preferred:
- Experience supporting federal or state court systems
Education:
- Bachelor's or higher in Communications Technology, Adult Learning, Business, Computer Science, or Instructional Design, OR equivalent work experience
