Oracle Database Administrator responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of databases.
Major Duties:*Gathers requirements and translates business needs into recommendations and long-term solutions.*Provides database support including database tuning and upgrades.*Work across multiple teams ensuring security and compliance measures are adhered to, proper documentation is provided, and change control process is considered.*Create and maintain disaster recovery plans such as active data guard and standby database(s) along with making available any necessary documentation for the team
Professional Qualifications/Skills:*Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent work experience directly within functional area*Must possess more than seven years of combined database management experience: *At least seven years of experience managing a medium to large production Oracle RAC installation*Strong Oracle database administration skills, ability to monitor and manage proactively both mission-critical production and development database environments at the enterprise level*Experience performing Oracle database administration tasks including managing and maintaining production Oracle RAC databases, software installations, configuration and space management, patching, backup and recovery, and performance optimization*Deep knowledge of Oracle 11g/12c/18c technology, strong RAC/clustering, RMAN, and Data Guard experience*Proficiency in Oracle Grid Control, OEM and RMAN backup and recovery techniques*Ability to diagnose problems and resolve issues across various tiers (application, database , network, server and storage)*Strong knowledge of SQL, Unix/Linux and shell scripting *Experience deploying Oracle ASM and troubleshooting ASM issues*Experience in Database Security and EncryptionClearance: Secret A Minimum of a Secret clearance is requiredSecurity Clearance: Must be a U.S. citizen and possess and be maintain a TOP SECRET clearance.
