Responsible for administering and evaluating clinical information system training for the AHLTA electronic medical record (EMR) system, the outpatient electronic health records (EHR) system, the Composite Health Care System (CHCS), Essentris, MHS GENESIS electronic health records, and the Joint Legacy Viewer (JLV).
Assist in the development and/or revision of clinical application systems and lesson plans.
Provide lesson plans, course outlines, and classroom materials to support both in-person and online instruction on business and technical subject-matter areas.
Utilize a variety of instructional technologies (e.g. audiovisual equipment, computer assisted instruction, etc.), training equipment (e.g. computer workstations), and teaching methods (e.g. lectures, demonstrations, etc.).
Maintain records of training, consulting, and troubleshooting activities; developing statistical reports as needed.
Analyze, customize, and solve individual student problems in particular functional specialties efficiently.
Participate in training development research, and/or performance improvement initiatives (e.g. learning theory, motivation theory, new materials, metric-based training maintenance, etc.).
Position requires moderate physical exertion involving periods of walking and standing while coordinating and conducting training activities, as well as requiring frequent periods of several hours duration working with video display terminals.
Performs duties independently under the general guidance of the CSSD Training Coordinator.
