We have an exceptional opportunity for a Stormwater Construction Manager to join our HDR Water Resources Group.

Primary Responsibilities

These tasks may include, but not limited to the following:

  • Manage/lead/develop planning and design of a wide range of flood, erosion mitigation, and water quality projects including stream rehabilitation and restoration, complex culverts and bridges, dam spillways and other hydraulic structures, storm water collection systems, and stormwater control measures (SCMs)
  • Project and task-level management, leading and directing technical staff, as well as hands-on project engineering for all phases on a wide variety of water resource projects
  • Construction management of stormwater and Stream Restoration Projects
  • Help expand Water Resources practice within Mid-Atlantic (VA|DC|MD) Area
  • The ideal candidate will have a general knowledge, practical understanding and previous educational course load of several items: Hydrology, Open channels hydraulics, Geomorphic processes, Report preparation and technical documentation, HEC-RAS model analysis *LI-KY1

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Engineering required

PE or ability to obtain

8 years of progressive work experience in water resources/stormwater engineering and project management required.

Stream Restoration Design Experience

Proficiency in Excel, MS Word, GIS and GPS applications


Preferred Qualifications:

Construction oversight experience of Stormwater BMPs and Stream/Wetland Restoration Projects

Master of Science in civil engineering, hydrology or related field.

Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D and/or Microstation, GIS

Experience in Program Management skills (GIS/data management, scheduling, project controls, invoicing)
