Job Title: Front End Web Developer

Description:

ALEX - Alternative Experts is now hiring a highly motivated Frontend Web Developer with strong creative problem solving skills for an opening in Dumfries, VA. The Web Developer will work directly with our artificial intelligence team to create aesthetically intuitive and dynamic web pages using JavaScript, html and css for multiple clients, focusing on the interaction between server-side frameworks, the web framework (Angular), and database systems (Apache Cassandra). The selected candidate will also develop data visualizations and website components for our cutting-edge ALEX developed AI tools.

Required:

• US Citizenship and ability to meet and maintain secret level Security Clearance Sponsorship eligibility requirements. A higher clearance level may eventually be required.
• Demonstrated creativity in front- end web design
• Proficiency with JavaScript and libraries including jQuery
• Proficiency with Angular web framework
• Proficiency with Python
• Proficiency with html and css
• Understanding of APIs
• An understanding of visualization techniques
• Ability to maintain a high-level of attention to detail
• Willingness to learn and be a part of a diverse team
• Experience using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, & Outlook)
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills

Preferred:

• UI/UX design experience
• A working knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases
• Experience with Linux (Ubuntu)

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in related field and 2+ years of front-end development experience
