Job Description

We are seeking an experienced master scheduler who will provide leadership within operations by implementing a standardized planning process.  This process will include planning schedules through sales quoting/orders, manufacturing and inspection processes, with an understanding of capacity, to ensure on-time delivery to our customers.  The master scheduler is responsible for advising sales of appropriate lead-times and availability and for planning, scheduling, and monitoring products through the complete production cycle.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Determines daily production schedules based on customer commitments, assembly complexity, plant capacity, and availability of materials and manpower in an effort to achieve optimal utilization of resources.  
  • Updates daily information displays to provide clear priorities to manufacturing and inspection teams.
  • Planning for production requirements over a longer-term operational window (1-2 months), which includes communicating the needs for potential hires (manufacturing and inspection) or the need to obtain additional skills or equipment.
  • Resolves issues concerning urgent/rush shipments, material shortages, engineering changes, and customer order changes.
  • Develop procedures and standards to ensure site goals and performance metrics are attained through a structured standard of work.
  • Works with project leaders to schedule and implement engineering or first of type production runs.
  • Advises the company of the status of work in progress for production issues being tracked and mitigated.
  • Communicates production/demand information across the facility so that everyone is aware, including leading our daily stand-up production meetings.
  • Tracks capacity/scheduling metrics and reports on them.
  • Works with the engineering change coordinator and materials specialist as part of the Materials organization to build a collaborative team environment focused on continuous improvement.
  • Becomes the “single source of truth” for the master schedule of the organization. 
  • Other tasks as assigned.
Skills and Experience
  • B.S. or equivalent strongly preferred. Manufacturing or Supply Chain Management curriculum optimal.
  • CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) is desired.
  • Domain experience & training in the following areas:
    • Five or more years related experience (manufacturing planning, master production scheduling, materials requirements planning, capacity requirements planning).
    • Knowledge of operations management structure of a modern manufacturing/distribution company
    • Familiarity with Macola ERP systems preferred
    • Strong proficiency with computer skills and Microsoft Excel

Other Considerations
  • Reports to: Operations Manager
  • Location: This position will be located at The Angelus Corporation’s facility in Sussex, Wisconsin.
  • Travel: Minimal to no travel required
  • Language: Strong, professional English verbal & written communication skills are required
