Position: Geotechnical Summer Intern

We recruit top talent and are currently seeking a full-time Geotechnical Intern for the summer of 2019 to join our team in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Position responsibilities include assistance in coordination of field explorations, field logging of soil and rock samples, performing engineering calculations/design, and preparation of basic proposals and reports. Position will work under supervision of a Licensed Engineer. Qualified candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong work ethic and possess the ability to work as a team player.

Qualifications:

• Enrolled in a B.S. in Civil Engineering or M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering Degree Program;
• 0-3 years of relevant experience, engineering internship or construction experience preferred;
• Basic working knowledge of construction plans and specifications preferred;
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word with the ability to learn commercial software applications required;
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions;
• At least 18 years of age;
• Routine lifting required: 40 to 50 lbs.

This is a full-time, internship position for the period of May 2019 through August 2019 with competitive pay based on experience. Successful candidate must meet requirements of the company's Fleet Management Program, Substance Policy and Reference check program.
