Billy Goat Industries, a subsidiary of Briggs and Stratton Corporation, located in Lee's Summit, Missouri, is a leading and innovative manufacturer of outdoor power equipment. We specialize in the design and manufacture of machines in three product groups: Debris Management (vacuums, blowers, and debris loaders), Lawn Renovation, and Brush Cutters. We are currently accepting applications for a Supply Chain Summer Intern to support our Supply Chain Management department.
Work Hours: 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday.
This is a 10 week assignment beginning May 28, 2019 through August 2, 2019. Rate of pay is $13.00 per hour plus a bonus of $1.00 per hour for perfect attendance throughout the assignment.
Position Description
Performs Supply Chain support tasks under general supervision of Manager, Supply Chain.
Job Responsibilities
• Performs a variety of assignments to support the optimization of forecasts, demand planning, and supply plans that insure the availability of service parts and/or products.
• Supports the development of a slow-moving and obsolete inventory process
• Helps forward projects related to master tool lists and inventory
• Researches potential packaging variations needed and engages packaging suppliers to test and implement the changes
• Performs other duties as assigned

Education
Associates Degree in Related field
Bachelor's Degree in Related field
Experience Requirements
- Must be enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited college or university studying toward a Bachelors/Associates degree in specified function
- Must complete the sophomore year in the major program of study prior to beginning a co-op
- Must have and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5/4.0
- This is an entry-level position therefore previous experience is not required
- Hands-on work experience in specified function is helpful
