A Bachelor''s degree in Medical Technology or one of the biological or chemical sciences from an accredited institution and registry eligible by a nationally recognized laboratory accrediting agency as a Medical Technologist, or a passing score in the U.S. Public Health Service proficiency examination for Clinical Laboratory Technologists, or Certification as a Medical Technologist by a nationally recognized laboratory accrediting agency, i.e., ASCP, NCA. Approximately three to four years of progressive responsibility and job related experience in high complexity testing in the relevant discipline. Experience in a hospital laboratory preferred.

Responsible for providing technical information, coordination and direction to technologists in a specific laboratory section engaged in performing specialized tests for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Monitors quality control, quality assurance, and safety programs. Promotes the laboratory and its services with a positive and professional attitude.
