SENIOR STRATEGIC RESEARCHER

Job Description
The United Food and Commercial Workers International Union, a powerful voice for working men and women, is seeking a Senior Strategic Researcher to work on campaigns to win justice and improve the livelihood of workers. The UFCW is leading the fight to build worker power in our workplaces, communities and the political and legislative arenas to insure that workers and their families participate fully in the rewards of the economy they help sustain.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Researchers implement strategies for organizing and other campaigns. Researchers will acquire advanced knowledge of UFCW core industries. The overall work consists of performing in-depth research using a variety of public and private sources, analyzing and interpreting industry, regulatory and financial data, and working with union staff to build and execute tactical campaign strategy for organizing and other campaigns.
Qualifications:
A senior researcher must have 5 years of progressive related experience; advanced degree or significant work experience as a mid-level researcher or above with a labor union community organizing group; and experience developing trainings on specific topics to an audience.
Compensation:
Salary commensurate with experience. Generous benefits.
