Job Description
Trade Center Management Associates is a private sector building management and hospitality service provider at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center. The Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center is recognized as a premier location in Washington DC, to stage events requiring the highest level of excellence in terms of service, food quality and presentation, and logistical planning.  

Currently Trade Center Management Associates is seeking to fill a P/T parking attendant position for its Parking Department .

Responsibilities:
  • Courteously assist patrons by answering questions, solving routine problems, and directing patrons to manager or supervisors to resolve more complex problems
  • Assist patrons by performing the following tasks: changing flat tires, battery starts, tire inflation, windshield cleaning, and other amenities as directed by the manager
  • Have a thorough and complete knowledge of all areas of the garage, surrounding streets and landmarks in the area of the garage and all major roads in and out of the city
  • Report any known accidents observed or suspected violations of Company policy, safety hazards or any unusual occurrence or matter to the garage manager/supervisor immediately
  • Control traffic at entrances and exits. Assist with garage setup including changing signs and cones. Park and stack cars and maneuver in close spaces. Assist customers who self park. Maintain effective control of customers' vehicle keys
  • Maintain a neat and clean appearance and be in complete uniform at all times
  • Substitute for cashiers when necessary (if authorized)
  • Keeping assigned areas swept and clean of trash. Assist in the maintenance and repair of parking equipment and general maintenance tasks assigned by the manager/supervisor.
  
 Qualifications: 
  • Must be able to pass U.S. Government background check and have lived in the U.S. three consecutive years
  • A valid driver's license and parking experience helpful
  • Must be able to read and write English using proper grammar skills with the demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to properly operate a manual shift vehicle
  • Must have parking experience
  • Previous valet and /or cashier experience helpful
  • Must have excellent math skills
  • Physical requirements include having stamina to stand for long periods of time and work in a fast paced environment and be able to withstand extreme hot and cold weather conditions
  • May be required to work special events on occasions
  • MUST BE ABLE TO WORK REQUIRED SHIFT:    M-F 9am to 2pm
