Job Description
The Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center is Washington's premier special events and conference facility, located on historic Pennsylvania Avenue in the heart of Penn Quarter in Washington DC.
Trade Center Management Associates is currently seeking two experienced First Cooks to add to their Culinary Team.
We are looking for someone who is passionate, professional and committed in maintainig a high level of quality, integrity and respect and be able to set an example for all kitchen employees in terms of professionalism, positive attitude, strong work ethic, and motivation.
Summary:
The First Cook is required to know all his/her department production responsibilities. He/she together with kitchen management, will ensure that all ITC standards and policies are adhered to at all times. Emphasis wil be placed on quality, creativity, and presentation of food, food cost control, labor cost control, and sanitation.

Qualifications include:
- 5 years experience working in the Hospitality Business
- Experience working in a fast pace kitchen
- Knowledge and experience working on cold station
- Culinary degree from recognized culinary institute or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of standard kitchen equipment use and operation
- Ability to stand, bend, lift 50 pounds and push carts weighting up to 200 pounds
- Must have strong organizational, communication and leadership skills
- This position requires scheduling flexibility to include working nights, weekends, or/or holidays
