Position Description
The Psychiatric Institute of Washington provides comprehensive behavioral healthcare for children, adolescents, adults and senior adults suffering from mental health and addictive illnesses. We are a short-term, acute care hospital offering inpatient, partial and intensive outpatient hospitalization, as well as specialized treatment programs for chemical dependency. The Psychiatric Institute of Washington is a drug-free and smoke-free workplace. All applicants will be subject to a pre-employment drug screen, background check and FBI fingerprinting as a condition of employment.
GENERAL FUNCTIONS:
We are seeking individuals just like you – COMMITTED — CARING — AND COMPASSIONATE interested in an exciting career opportunity with the leader in providing behavioral healthcare to the Washington metropolitan community. We currently have nursing positions available on all units. Out patient population consists of children, adolescents and adults. We are looking for empowered nurses who follow the nursing process with a commitment to excellent patient care.
MINUMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must be a graduate from an accredited nursing program, BSN preferred, licensed in DC or eligible, possess current CPR certification, and minimum of one (1) year experience in psychiatric nursing preferred. New graduates will be considered.
