IIS Operational Technologies and Solutions (OTS), provides information management systems and operations support to a variety of government agencies and proprietary customers. As a provider of cutting-edge data management and information dissemination, OTS handles some of the largest databases for the government and intelligence communities. Core capabilities include analytical and field operations support, logistics and deployment, software development, electrical and mechanical engineering, and hardware manufacturing.
This position will be bid on a new contract that employs agile engineering processes to develop analytic solutions based on integration of Government-Off-The-Shelf (GOTS), Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS), Free Open Source Software, Government Furnished (GFE) hardware and software, and newly developed software. We will be re-hosting existing analytic capabilities in a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). As part of the contract, Raytheon will do requirement development and the software/system design, implementation, testing, and deployment of new analytic capabilities, tools, and plug-ins. The position will be located at Ft. Meade MD or the National Business Park (NBP) complex in Annapolis Junction, MD.

Required
* At least three years experience working in the required target language with at least level three language skills, as well as analysis experience. Specific language requirements will vary based upon world events and USG operational needs and include, but are not limited to: Arabic (and dialects), Dari, Farsi, Indonesian, Kurdish, Pashto, Punjabi, Somali, Tagalog (and other Philippine languages), Urdo
* Demonstrated good research, collaboration and coordination skills.
* Shall have the ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, and be eager to learn and use new tools to help build the linguistic resources needed to develop, evaluate and test natural language processing tools.
* A solid command of the English language grammar and lexicon is a must.
* A working knowledge of the morphology, syntax, and/or lexicography of the target language (for some positions).
Desired:
* A working knowledge of the morphology, syntax and/or lexicography of the target language.
* Experience with human language technology system development efforts and/or a background in computational linguistics will be helpful for some positions.
