Position Description

Description:

Emergency Services/Mobile Crisis Unit.

Works as part of multidisciplinary team serving high risk, seriously mentally ill, emotionally disturbed, intellectually deficient and dually diagnosed individuals in acute crisis. Provides specialized services such as assessment for temporary detention, evaluation for hospitalization, hostage barricade and critical stress management. Position provides unique opportunity to work with individuals of all ages experiencing a wide range of clinical presentations. Experience conducting risk assessment, making rapid differential diagnosis, and providing crisis intervention is essential.

Minimum
Qualifications:

Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to the following: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a master’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field; plus three years of related professional experience; or graduation from an accredited college or university with a doctoral degree in psychology, social work, or a related field.

Requirements:

The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background record check, OIG check and a check of the Child Protective Services Registry to the satisfaction of the employer.

Preferred
Qualifications:

Experience providing mental health crisis intervention and supervision.
