Position Description

The Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center is Washington’s premier special events and conference facility, located on historic Pennsylvania Avenue in the heart of Washington, DC, within walking distance of the White House, the Capitol, and Smithsonian Museums. We are currently seeking an Event Operations Manager.

The Event Manager should be able to manage an event or a group of events and provide supervision to ensure that the client's expectations have been met or exceeded. The Manager will be responsible for executing the plan for the event(s) and will be held accountable for following instructions and responding to changes in a professional manner. The Event manager will act as a liason between the client and operating departments executing the event and all changes will be communicated through this individual.

Required Qualifications:

* Minimum 2yrs management experience in banquet/ conference center operations.
* Bachelors degree required.
* Previous experience in a upscale catering venue.
* Excellent communication written and verbal skills.
* Prior management experience with a diverse workplace.
* Ability to multitask.
* Ability to work in stressful situations.
