Deltek is seeking a Sales Tax Accountant reporting to the Sales Tax Manager.

This position will be responsible for:

• Preparation of monthly sales and use tax filings, business licenses, property tax compliance, and unclaimed property reporting.
• This role will maintain tax exemption certificates, assist the Tax Manager with special projects as needed, and support the Sales, Collections and Accounts Payable functions.

• Under the direction of the Sales Tax Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for accumulating data from billing systems, preparation of required tax returns, and responding to notices and correspondence from tax authorities. In addition, this individual will prepare required journal entries and check request related to tax filings. Further, this person will update monthly tax systems as appropriate and maintain tax exemption certificates and assist in the quarterly requirements for SOX compliance.

• This individual will also support the Sales function in resolving routine questions, both internal & external regarding taxability of transactions. In addition, this person will support the Accounts Payable function in evaluating whether use tax should apply to invoices received without and sales tax on them.

• This individual will also support the Sales Tax Manager with other duties as assigned.
