Position Description

An opportunity currently exists at our Rockville, MD facility for a Hydrogeologist.

In this role, you will serve in

Decommissioning and Uranium Recovery Licensing Directorate Division of Waste Management and Environmental Protection Office of Federal & State Materials & Environmental Management Programs, as a technical reviewer in the Uranium Recovery Licensing Branch.

You will provide specialized knowledge of hydrogeology by conducting and coordinating reviews, and monitoring technical
assistance contracts in the program areas of uranium
recovery licensing and uranium mill tailings remedial action; providing technical input for siting, design, operation, closure,
inspection, and monitoring of uranium recovery facilities; developing and providing input for technical positions, license reviews, inspection procedures, guidance development, and rulemaking, and serving as Project Manager for selected uranium recovery facilities.
