Position Description

The primary objective is to work with the partners of the firm to grow revenues by developing more satisfied and loyal client relationships; to retain and grow revenue from existing clients; to extend the lines of business and geographical spread with each individual client; to disseminate best practices within the firm, and among clients; to reducing the cost of service delivery; and to add more value to the services we provide to clients. management of firmwide practice groups will fall under the Strategy & Firmwide Initiatives. Through a coordinated team effort and open communication, the management of practice group initiatives will be fully aligned with firm objectives and goals. Duties and Responsibilities: Support Client Services Organization in business development, strategic initiatives, and client service activities. Directly support IP Practice Group. Dotted reporting into the Practice Group Chairs in order to execute the goals of this team. In this function you will provide business development and client service support to the partners and clients of the IP Practice Group. will include: Daily internal management and operation of practice group Planning & executing practice group activities/events (retreats, speaking engagements, seminars, symposiums, etc.) - will work with Marketing Communications and Event Planning as necessary Facilitate the integration of new attorneys into practice group Assist in or lead RFP responses for IP clients Assist in business development needs Attend practice related and industry related seminars and events to stay current with market trends and training needs Coordinate efforts with the Senior Manager of the Strategic Client Program to achieve results for IP Strategic Clients Work with internal finance team to better understand Key Performance Indicators for IP Practice and to obtain any financial information (the Financial Planning team will create and manage the practice group budget) Assist in Annual Partner Retreat preparations with other members of CSG of the aforementioned bullet points requires extensive planning and resource alignment. This role will have involvement with other strategic & firm wide initiatives. 5-7 years of work experience Prefer Law Firm or Professional Services Marketing experience Undergraduate degree Required (Prefer business or marketing background) Prefer MBA or s degree Proven interpersonal and communication skills Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise fashion to varying stakeholders Ability to multi-task various projects and schedules associated with each Ability to communicate with and gain confidence of lawyers and staff Pro-active manner and enthusiasm; ability to interface effectively and positively with varying departments and interests Detail oriented with excellent time management skills Ability and flexibility to be both detail and big-picture oriented Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access) Excellent oral presentation skills and Excellent writing skills
