Daily Responsibilities	This consultant will provide communications and outreach support to leadership of the DHS Office of Emergency Communications. Responsibilities include supporting multiple outreach initiatives, such as social media/Web 2.0, quarterly newsletters, and discussion sessions with various audiences. Projects will require independent research and proposal development as well as implementation of outreach tactics. This individual will also provide administrative and logistical support for tasks related to information sharing, database management, meetings, briefings, and conferences.
Required: Degree	Bachelors
Required: Skills	The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of the Federal Government work space; have strong quantitative and analytical skills; have experience working on fast-paced teams that require multi-tasking; will be comfortable regularly interfacing with Federal clients; can track project milestones and status; have experience (preferred) or interest (required) in working with the emergency response community. The ideal teammate is also organized, detail-oriented, and a strong writer.
