| Duties: | Provide on-site (in-SPO) leadership for the design and acquisition of the Command and Control component of the Next Generation Electro-Optical (NGEO) collection segment. Lead Aerospace support for, and participate in, Program Office initiatives to develop the Collection Segment’s command and control capabilities. Principal areas of responsibility include: CONOPS and requirements development; defining and developing intra- and inter-segment interfaces (including Ground and Systems Engineering); and planning and executing hardware/software acquisition activities (SOW and RFP development, source selection, SRR, PDR, CDRs, etc). Duties entail daily contract with mid- and senior-level Program Office officials, and participation in joint Government/FFRDC/SETA teams and interfacing with vendors and contractors. Frequent travel within the continental United States. This position is in Chantilly, Virginia. |
| Qualifications: | Advanced degree in Aeronautics/Astronautics, Communications, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering is required. At least 12 years experience with experience with collection segment-related technologies and designs is required. Experience developing and delivering mission planning and collection segment command/control capabilities is required. Knowledge of NRO acquisition practices and policies is required. Demonstrated ability to perform and lead technical assessments and initiatives is required. Experience coordinating ETG and other Aerospace support for SPOs is required. Demonstrated ability to work effectively on Government/FFRDC/SETA teams, and a proven ability to effectively interface with SOPO customers is required. Excellent oral and written communications skills is essential. Current SBI and successful polygraph is required. |
