| Specific Job Description | Apply your outstanding talents as an Interactive Art Director in support of the National Cancer Institute’s dissemination and outreach efforts. We are looking for an Interactive Art Director with 3 or more years of proven experience in that role who is passionate about design and user engagement, and craves leading and working with other smart people to solve communication design challenges through innovative approaches. Working closely with the Creative Director and Senior Digital Strategist you will lead the interactive-specific design efforts and also be hands-on in developing the final creative. The ideal candidate will have solid problem solving skills, an ability to envision individual projects in context of the bigger picture, and experience developing concepts and products across a range of digital channels including mobile, social applications, blogs and educational games, in addition to traditional large and small scale Web site design. The candidate should also be well versed in working with personas, site segmentation and rapid prototyping as a part of the design process. Specific project related activities and responsibilities include: - Work closely with the Creative Director, senior strategist, project managers, senior IA’s, communications liaisons and clients to develop clear understanding of communications goals, target audience insights and creative approach. - Coordinate and work with IA’s and designers in producing creative briefs, interaction concept briefs, storyboards, style guides and other creative documentation as required. - Develop creative concepts and design direction and visual and interactive prototypes (both digital and static). - Supervise and inspire the design team, including assessing availability and scheduling design team resources to meet all project demands. - Partner directly with Project Management and the Director of User Experience and Digital Strategy to develop multi-discipline status reports for Sr. Management. - Provide quality assurance plans and review for design team deliverables. |
