Position Description

Our client in Silver Spring Md has an AP Supervisor Opening. This candidate will be responsible for the overall supervision of the invoice processing systems (AP-PeopleSoft and JP Morgan). Daily duties will include management of the AP staff. Strong project management skills are required as this position will be responsible for the leading the AP team and employees through the change process and activities involved, as Accounts Payable moves toward automation. In addition will oversee all aspects of the department including the maintenance of user groups to the timely resolution of invoice exceptions.


SKILLS, EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE

- B.S. in Accounting or Finance or equivalent years of experience
- 3+ years of relevant work experience
- 2+ years of supervisory experience
- PeopleSoft accounts payable system experience is a plus
- Project Management skills
- Strong Analysis and reconciliation experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
- Strong organization, problem solving, prioritizing and time management skills are essential
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Excel, Word, E-mail, and query reporting required
- Strong competency skills in the following areas: creativity & innovation, learning about & using technology, making decisions/solving problems, planning & executing objectives, selecting associates, communication corporate information, listening to others, managing internal/external customer relationships, building/leading teams, and inclusive culture management.
