Manager of Marketing and Brand Development

Goodwill Industries International, Inc. (GII) is seeking a Manager of Marketing and Brand Development. Recently listed by Cone, Inc. as the 5th most valuable non-profit brand in the U.S., GII needs a strong candidate to help take a solid brand and public image base and propel it to new levels. The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for day-to-day management of marketing and the brand, including review, direction, and creation of messaging, collateral, and advertising creative; management of logo usage and brand development initiatives; and promotional efforts of initiatives, partnerships, and programs. He or she will plan and execute marketing campaigns, cultivate and maintain relationships with key contacts within advertising and media outlets, use market data to determine best use of limited marketing resources and to evaluate ongoing marketing initiatives, and serve as a center of knowledge to Goodwill member agencies and other GII staff.

The successful candidate must have:
• At least five years experience in marketing, communications, editorial, or advertising.
• Demonstrated experience in brand development and management.
• Demonstrated skill in marketing/advertising creative development for multiple delivery vehicles.
• Superior copywriting and editorial review skills.
• Experience with media buys and PSA placement.
• Personnel (direct or matrix) management experience.
• Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Proficient PC skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Masters degree desired.
