Position Description
Telecommunications Analyst
Analyzing and documenting the telecommunications needs of our clients and intenal implementation of some telecommunications infrastructure for the benefit of clients and the organization. Position will involve excellent customer interaction skills and excellent writing skills. Work will involve assessing the needs of a clients, documenting stations and feature sets, designing call routing, obtaining information from equipment and service vendors, developing operating expense estimates and analyzing client telecommunications equipment and service bills. Many of our clients are airports and/or city, county and state governments.
Technology Experience Required: 5 years managing/implementing telephone PBX systems (not just the cabling). Understands LAN basics. Implementetd at least one VoIP system.
Software Skills Required: Must be proficient at Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer and Word and have used a Telecom Expense Management Software tool. Must have a command of using Windows XP and/or Vista computers in a VPN environment.
Education Required: High School or equivalent is required. Strong consideration will be given to candidates that possess a college degree (BS, BA, or AA in that order).
US Citizenship is required and applicants must be willing to apply for and maintain an airport security badge which includes biographical and fingerprint data submitted to the TSA for criminal history record checks. Failure to pass an airport security check may result in immediate termination.
Desirable Experience or qualifications: LAN administration, RCDD certification, PMP certification, Airport telecommunications experience, Server Administration, Consulting experience, telecommunications sales experience, PCI audit experience, SharePoint experience.
Travel within North America is likely.
