Position Description

Lead Personnel Security Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Supervise a staff of 3 Personnel Security Specialists
• Act as the liaison between the NATEK staff and the government sponsor
• Troubleshoot issues associated with the processing of personnel security clearance submissions
• Review and process security forms and waivers for DOJ Criminal Division employees and contractors
• Forward packages to OPM and track the status of all selectees until they enter duty
• Prepare all reports, conduct NCIC checks, credit checks, FBI name checks and FBI fingerprint checks

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years experience in personnel security investigations
• Supervisory experience desired
• Familiarity with SF 85/86 forms and processes
• B.S./B.A. or equivalent
• *MUST BE ABLE TO OBTAIN A DOJ SECURITY CLEARANCE upon offer.
