| Specific Job Description | Pacific Architects and Engineers, a separate entity of Lockheed Martin, is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to plan, coordinate, manage, direct, perform cost estimations, and oversee implementation, execution and follow up management of Civil Engineering, building and construction projects within Army Sustainment Command's (ASC) Southwest Asia (SWA) area of responsibility. Candidate will provide Civil Engineering follow-on support to the Army Field Support Brigade/Battalion-Afghanistan for the MRAP Program. Will provide the 401st AFSB-SWA leadership guidance, updates/briefings and ensure projects are executed and project commitments are met. Will supervise and maintain communications with area and resident engineers to work through and resolve a variety of engineering and operating management issues that may arise. PAE is looking for a CIVIL ENGINEER with Project Management experience as the lead on MRAP projects. The person will do lots of traveling to QA/QC the projects as they progress. Makes recommendations to ASC Army Field Support Brigade Commander to ensure most effective and efficient mission accomplishments. Serves as a member of construction, building, civil engineering boards or project reviews for sustainment management. Will integrate with S7 and other theater engineers and when required, work construction projects with Contracting Officer and or LOGCAP for issuance of specifications, change orders, supplemental agreements and Contracting Officer's decisions. Ensure local, theater and Country related policy and by-laws are met. Review in detail plans and specifications to ensure construction meets engineering standards and follow-on sustainment requirements. Studies and prepares plans and specifications before, during and after construction to prevent delays, costly errors and reconstruction due to incomplete, inconsistent or erroneous data in the plans and specifications; and carefully reconcile plans and specifications with actual site conditions and develop modifications, as needed. This is a full-time position located in ASC AFSB-SWA, Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan and includes the complete PAE, Inc. benefits package (medical, dental, life insurance, and all ten paid Federal holidays).
