PCTEL – RF Solutions Group, is seeking an experienced Sr. Production Test Technician to assure that modules and chassis meet performance specifications; test and system integrate modules and chassis to meet the weekly master schedule plan utilizing test procedures and equipment; and RF debug and repair of field returned products.

Selected candidate will configure and test products according to production procedures; generates test reports; debug and repair failed units; debugs and repair customer field units; perform product calibrations; perform test operations for electronic modules from written and/or verbal instructions with minimal supervision; perform hardware debug of failed modules; troubleshoot to board level any failures encountered during the test process; set up, including programming, and operates a variety of automatic and semi-automatic test and / or repair equipment; work with Manufacturing Engineering to improve test procedures or develop new ones for new products when necessary; provide feedback to Manufacturing Engineering on any potential quality issue; and provide input to management for process improvements.

The position requires an Associate’s Technical Degree or equivalent work experience to understand electronics, including digital, analog and RF, and to understand test and measurement equipment; a minimum five years related work experience, familiarity with RF measurements and cell phone technologies; intermediate experience with conducting tests on electronic equipment and on software applications; advanced experience working in a production test environment; advanced experience in the use of test equipment such as power supplies, multi-meters, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and network and logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators to ensure hardware meets requirements; advanced experience with troubleshooting analog, digital, and RF circuits; and advanced experience with RF measurements.
