PCTEL Inc. - RF Solutions Group, is seeking an experienced Hardware Engineer to take an active role in leading the development and maintenance of our products to complement its line of wireless network test equipment.

Selected candidate will perform electrical design of RF circuitry (up to 3 GHz), including component selection, simulation, PC board layout, debug, and testing; direct other employees in their work through defined policies and based on management advice; select, hire, equip and train other employees; plan, assign, and follow up on subordinates work; and direct outside resources during product development and maintenance.

Key responsibilities also include mentoring less experienced Hardware Engineers, and assisting in the maintenance of our existing products by performing problem investigation, troubleshooting, component qualification, and testing.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in Electronic Engineering or higher. Also required is at least five (5) years of directly relevant commercial workplace experience in RF design, and PCB layout; experience leading a group, breaking down work into tasks, and assigning engineers to execute tasks; and experience leading cross-functional teams to product delivery. General knowledge would include design skills and ability to communicate ideas concisely both written and verbally.
