Job Duties and Responsibilities
What Will This Position Offer You:
The opportunity to secure the nation on highly visible efforts supporting national security through system design, development, integration, test, and documentation.
Description & Responsibilities:
Work as a software developer as part of a development team which utilizes a diverse dynamic workforce, including many experts in their fields. Specific duties include:

  • Responsible for performing system design, development, integration, test and documentation duties to ensure proper operation of hardware and software platforms
  • Adhere to accepted standards for development, including writing unit tests which provide a high percentage of code overage, participating in peer code reviews, conducting design reviews , and generating test plans to ensure maximum stability an quality of code
Required Experience:
5+ years experience in a technical role, working on software intensive projects and programs for Government or Industry customers with:

  • 5+ years experience as a Software Engineer supporting system and S/W architecture, development, requirements analysis, design, process execution and evaluation, selection and evaluation of COTS/GOTS tools and unit and test integration
  • 5+ years experience using any or all of the following: JAVA; C++ or C; COBRA; J2EE; Perl; Java Script; UNIX scripting languages; XML; HTML; workflow tools such as JBoss or Weblogic; DOM; AJAX; Apache; Spring; near-real-time processing; collection systems; network protocols and standards; GUI development; mission management systems.
  • Experience in Web Services implementation.
  • Must be experienced in programming using Top Down, Event Driven, and object-oriented paradigms.
  • 2+ years experience as a C++ developer
  • Proficiency in Linux (evidenced in resume/experience)
  • Proficiency in the use of a debugging tool
Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with networking protocols
  • Knowledge of NSA’s SIGINT mission systems
  • Familiarity with code development, test & configuration management tools such as ClearQuest, ClearCase & Maven
  • Scripting (Bash, Ruby, etc.)
  • XML/XSD, messaging and schemas, XSLT
  • CPPUNIT for unit testing
  • Proficiency in Java
  • BME experience
  • Experience in Agile methods is desired.
Clearance Requirements: Top Secret/SCI clearance w/Full Scope Polygraph required [Note: CCA clearance acceptable (CI Polygraph); Lifestyle Polygraph must be passed within 6 months.]
