| Description: | Perform evaluations of structures associated with power generation systems and components including buildings, ductwork, piping, and transmission structures. Evaluations may include conceptual or detailed design of steel, reinforced concrete, or composite material structures. In addition, candidate will also perform evaluations of site geotechnical conditions and foundations for power generation systems and structures. Technical analysis of earthen and reinforced concrete dams and retaining structures may also be required. Seismic, wind and other specialized loading evaluations will also be performed. | |||||
| Qualifications: | BSCE with a concentration in structural and geotechnical engineering required. Basic knowledge of surveying and/or mechanics of materials a plus. Background in ASCE, AISC and ACI design code requirements and techniques based on academic problem solving a must. Experience in reading and understanding civil engineering drawings, site charaterization data and facility environmental conditions desirable. | |||||
