We have an immediate opening for an Implementation Manager, CONUS in our Ashburn, Virginia office. This is a unique opportunity to work in a challenging and rewarding position in our Integrated Systems Engineering Division with extensive growth opportunities.

Required Skills

The Implementation Manager, CONUS manages the team of Implementation Engineers and ensures a high level of technical and customer service. The Implementation Manager, CONUS implements policies and procedures regarding how network designs are implemented from engineering plans developed by the engineering department. The Implementation Manager, CONUS evaluates resources, implementation procedures, and resource loading suggesting operational improvements to improve efficiency and effectiveness. The Implementation Manager, CONUS is familiar with a variety of technical standards, concepts, practices, and procedures and relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

The role / responsibilities of the Implementation Manager, CONUS include the following:

  • Manage day to day operations of the CONUS Implementation department
  • Enforce compliance with Implementation Department policies and other contractual requirements
  • Works closely with PMO Director and other Project Managers to coordinates and schedule Implementation resources on various projects
  • Works closely with the engineering department to review engineering documents, including but not limited to: Installation Design Plans, System Installation Plans, Test Plans, and Training Plans
  • Provide escalation point for Implementation staff
  • Maintain resource schedules and ensure adequate resource loading goals are met
  • Ensure all QA / QC mechanisms are being observed
  • Define, communicate, and enforce general, technical, and operational policies and procedures.
  • Promote and coordinate technical knowledge sharing within the Implementation Department
  • Provide personnel management and mentoring
  • Act as the customer interface and advocate by attending meetings, providing SITREPs as needed, and regularly communicating project status to either the Project Manager or customer as required
  • Promote a positive work environment and an attitude of maintaining excellence
Required Experience

Requirements:

  • 6-10 years of related experience
  • BS degree in C.S, MIS, EE or IT; former government contracting or military experience/certifications a plus
  • Possess strong and dynamic leadership traits and manage teams of IT Professionals, which support multiple operations.
  • Possess strong professional communication (verbal and written) skills and communicate effectively and tactfully to with engineers, technicians, project managers, and customers including senior government and military personnel.
  • Be comfortable working with end customers in high-pressure environments on mission-critical data and services.
  • Possess the ability to solicit company ideas, and develop and present technical presentations and reports to Project Managers and/or customers and high-ranking government officials.
  • Possess the ability to work in a team-environment and cultivate an environment of collaboration and knowledge sharing between employees.
  • Possess extensive experience in environments that include enterprise architecture, telecommunications, and C4I centers.
  • Experience working in U.S. Government systems and awareness of the common security practices.
  • Have a thorough understanding of budgeting and cost control.
  • Strong, polished written skills and experience generating policies and procedural documentation
  • Have experience complying with strict contractual requirements and project schedules and deadlines.
  • Be familiar with operational and process standards such as ISO 9000, CMMI, ITIL, etc.
