Position Description
Start Building a Career with a Future. Electrical technology offers a stable career with plenty of potential to grow. Once you’re a licensed electrician, you’ll have the opportunity to earn up to $73,000 per year.
The Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee trains the electrical and telecommunication apprentices employed by all signatory contractors of Local Union 26 International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. It offers three different tracks that combine state-of-the-art education and hands-on experience that put you on the road to higher pay, more benefits and job security.
You’ll take your classroom learning to the job site for hands-on experience on a variety of projects in Virginia, DC and Maryland. Your experience will range from electrical and telecommunications installations in large, complex new buildings, to troubleshooting and maintenance in existing buildings, to retrofitting older buildings for energy efficiency.
And you’ll get paid while you learn. The hourly rate varies with the track and increases upon successful completion of on-the-job training and classroom related studies.
Choose from three different career tracks, depending on your interests and skill level — the Inside Electrical Track, the Telecommunications Track, and the Residential Track. Visit www.electricalalliance.org for more information.
