Life Safety Systems, with headquarters in Manassas, VA has an opening for a Fire Alarm System Technician in Northern Virginia and a Security Technician in the Baltimore area. LSS is a solutions provider of low voltage electronics and life safety systems for education, health care, and government in the Greater Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia and Maryland areas. Since 1978, LSS has been engineering, installing and maintaining fire alarms, intercoms, security systems, nurse call systems and much more.

We are seeking a highly motivated Fire Alarm Electronic Technician and a Security Systems Technician with previous field experience installing and servicing fire alarm systems, security systems with strong customer service skills. Fire Alarm Technicians and Security Technicians are responsible for troubleshooting, repairing and programming fire alarm and security systems. Consequently, the technician must have excellent diagnostic skills. Must be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic use of a laptop computer. Must have demonstrated experience with hardware, software, and programming of primary fire alarm systems and Security Systems.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

High School diploma or equivalent
NICET CERTIFICATION for Fire Alarms REQUIRED (Prefer Level II and above)
Certification in Fire alarm and security systems (EST/GE, Simplex, Siemens, Notifier, FRL, Rodeovir, Silent Knight)
Must have or be able to obtain a Valid DCJS registration
Ability to operate a company vehicle and have an acceptable driving record
Ability to lift up to fifty pounds and stand for long periods of time
Must be able to climb a ladder
Able to work all hours (day or night and all days of the week if needed )
Must pass a background check and drug test
