Job Description:

Systems training consultant. Work with clients on the governance of systems training. Work with ISDs in the evaluation of training documents and maintenance of detailed training development schedules. Know, or be able to learn quickly, systems development lifecycles and interdependencies between systems development and training development.  Maintain client relationships; identifying additional opportunities.

General Project Management:

  • Ensure project deliverables on time and budget. 
  • Guide project team (instructional designers, artists) in development of learning solutions.
  • Project task lists (WBS);  schedules; manage to WBS. 
  • Create and maintain financial documents, spreadsheets, reports.
  • Determine staffing requirements; coordinate staff assignments with resource manager.
  • Implement high quality instructional solutions, processes, and procedures. 
  • Ensure use of ISD methodology and instructional integrity.
  • Monitor quality of all deliverables (instructor-led, WBT, job aids).
  • Performance reviews and management of staff.
  • Promote best practices to provide higher-level performance improvement solutions.

    System Training Focus:
  • Learn the client’s proprietary technology in order to mentor ISDs and ensure their timely delivery of all documents, integrated project schedules, and training materials reviews.  
  • Ensure that our client’s governance role is performed to the highest standards.  
  • Reconcile multiple project schedules with master integrated schedule.
  • Review and critique governance documents and detailed schedules to ensure that training implications have been identified and risks mitigated.  
  • Develop associations with federal partner clients to ensure cooperative and positive relationships and build value for our client with the federal partners.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Understand “the voice of the client” for US-VISIT.  Identify and seek new business opportunities. 
  • Communicate potential solution costs, schedules, and implications to clients.

Experience Required:
  • 2 years project management duties in learning or HPT
  • 3-5 years of instructor-led and/or web-based ADDIE experience
  • Solid experience with applying ISD principles within a learning and performance environment
  •  5-7 years equivalent experience with BS/BA
  • 3-5 years equivalent experience with MA/MS/MBA
