COG is a regional organization of Washington area local governments. Welcome to the Paralegal Institute of Washington, DC (PIW). PIW is a licensed higher-education learning center, committed to training paralegals. Based in the nation's capital, PIW is especially suited for persons who wish to pursue a career in the exciting field of law by taking courses in a concentrated period of time. The paralegal courses at PIW are all taught by lawyers, which makes ours a unique paralegal school. Finally, PIW offers paralegal job assistance. As part of the training process, our students will receive assistance on creating resumes, and interview techniques.

Technical Learning Centers Inc. (TLC) was established in 1997 to provide hands-on and practical computer and Internet training to the residents of Washington DC, suburban Maryland, and Virginia neighborhoods. TLC is licensed as a non-degree post-secondary school by the DC Licensure Commission. The mission of TLC is to offer training in computer application software and the Internet, and allied health, along with placement and counseling services, to prepare its students for the workplace challenges facing our nation in the new information age.

The National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) is dedicated to the recognition and professional advancement of Hispanics in the news industry. Established in April 1984, NAHJ created a national voice and unified vision for all Hispanic journalists. NAHJ is governed by an 18-member board of directors that consists of executive officers and regional directors who represent geographic areas of the United States and the Caribbean. The national office is located in the National Press Building in Washington, D.C.

The Washington Association of Black Journalists is an organization for African-American journalists, journalism professors, public relations/communications professionals and student journalists in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area. Our mission is to offer working journalists, public relations professionals, our colleagues in related fields and students, a source of support and recognition, a forum for networking and a clearinghouse for ongoing journalism education.
