What We Do

First American Trust is seekinga motivated Scrum Master with 3-5 years of experience to facilitate scrum ceremonies, coach and mentor teammembers, help Product Owners to manage their backlog, and assist in release planning.

What You'll Do

  • Drive effective scrum ceremonies including daily standup, backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
  • Track and distribute relevant metrics and report periodically to show team progress and velocity
  • Identify, understand, and track impediments; help remove them and drive improvements to optimize how the team works
  • Help the Product Owner manage customer expectations and stakeholder communications
  • Act as a liaison between the team and everyone else to minimize interruptions to the sprint, keeping the team focused on delivering a quality product on time
  • Build a safe and trusting team environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or judgement, with an emphasis on problem solving
  • Represents the team in the Scrum of Scrum and the ART Sync
  • Helps the team prepare for PI Planning and guide the team during the event to complete all of their tasks
  • Demonstrates a growth mindset by coaching the team and Product Owner on how to improve their practices to excel at scale

What You'll Bring

  • Demonstrated experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban etc.):
  • Skilled in servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
  • Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and coach high-performing software development teams
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment and work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously without impact to quality of work
  • Experience being on Scrum teams in a variety of different contexts (different team sizes/organizations/cultures)
  • Demonstrated experience in issue identification and resolution
  • Moderate to expert-level knowledge of JIRA or other agile tools to measure team productivity and report metrics
  • Must possess and utilize exceptional communication skills to keep teams operating at maximum efficiency while also ensuring that senior leaders and executive management are always informed of progress

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology, or related fields
  • 3-5 years of using Scrum agile methodology
  • Must be a Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
  • Experience training and managing Scrum teams
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills
  • Adaptable and flexible in a cross-functional environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lead retrospectives, document outcomes, and guide team members in best practices
  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience or certifications a plus
  • Experience working on API teams a plus

Pay Range: $71,500-110,000

This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location
