Responsibilities

About the Job/Salary Range

The Communications team is key to keeping all of our employees and retailers informed and engaged. Reporting to the Director, Communications, the Manager, Communications role offers an environment for the highly collaborative and self-motivated professional seeking to bolster the company's vision, mission and values. With a keen attention to detail and talent for crafting messages that resonate, your contributions will enhance the team's overall impact.

In this role, you'll get to:

    Lead stakeholder meetings to understand the needs for upcoming projects and provide ongoing counsel/support
  • Develop strategic communication plans and messaging to internal audiences via a multi-channel approach, including email/newsletters, SMS text, intranet, signage, social media, video and live/virtual events
  • Create new features/content to share as part of our brand journalism and storytelling strategy
  • Manage the Specialist, Communications as a direct report, ensuring the timely dissemination of information
  • Enhance our presence on LinkedIn, leveraging the platform as an employer branding tool
  • Oversee content maintenance and continuous improvement of the company intranet
  • Develop dynamic presentations for various meetings and events
  • Work with Specialist to create signage, invitations, infographics, charts, graphs, banners and other custom imagery and video content that bring our communications to life, visually
  • Assist in the content creation and production process for company-wide Town Halls and Q&A sessions (virtual and live format)
  • Work closely with Supply Chain leadership to engage wage and hourly employees at our manufacturing and distribution sites via monthly Operations updates, signage, management talking points, calendars, etc.
  • Partner with the Facilities and PR teams to plan and execute employee events
  • Continuously explore the latest trends, tools and best practices in communications; offer and implement new ideas
Qualifications

We're looking for people who:

  • Love (and are excellent at) writing and presenting
  • Translate data and distill substantial amounts of information into compelling, easy to understand messages/designs that effectively communicate ideas
  • Know Microsoft Office Suite, Canva and the fundamentals of CMS, SMS and email marketing
  • Appreciate the details and place great emphasis on accurate, high-quality work
  • Show proactiveness, resourcefulness, strong ownership and passion for each project
  • Thrive in challenging environments; exhibit strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Maintain a positive outlook and vibe with the team
  • Lean into humor in the workplace, display wit on the fly and quote social media trends, lyrics and other pop cultural references with ease
  • Work comfortably across all levels of the organization, including executive leadership
  • Have a BA/BS/BFA in Communications, Marketing or related major/ 5+ years of related experience
