Loudoun County Department of Family Services is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional leader for its Child Protective Services (CPS) In-Home Supervisor position. The successful candidate will join the Department of Family Services which envisions better health, safety, and well-being for all and supports individuals and families in the community to live their best lives while advocating for those most vulnerable and respecting their right to self-determination.
This critical supervisory position directs and supports the work of the CPS In-Home Specialists. The CPS In Home team uses strengths-based and trauma-informed perspectives as well as evidence-based practices to stabilize and support families where child abuse or neglect has been substantiated. They increase safety and protective capacity and reduce risk of future harm by comprehensively assessing risks, safety, needs and strengths. Additionally, this position will support the specialists in devising goal-directed service plans, referring to community services as indicated, and monitoring and evaluating purchased services. This position will conduct periodic reviews adhering to all local, state, and federal policies and regulations.
Under the direction of a Program Manager serving with a peer supervisory team, this position provides leadership and oversight of the Child Protective Services program.
This work is multifaceted, as outlined in its core responsibilities:
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology (master's degree preferred), or a related field; four (4) years of experience to include one (1) year of supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
