Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • 5+ years complex billing experience
  • Detailed-oriented
  • Ability to organize and prioritize daily, weekly, and monthly billing requirements
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel Skills
  • Experience billing multiple billing types
  • Effectively communicate both internally and externally
  • Ability to learn and manage multiple systems, portals, and customer interfaces
  • Oracle or SAP experience preferred

Responsibilities

The Billing Specialist Lead is responsible to support the Billing Specialist role with commonly asked questions and on-going training. This position is responsible for providing lead support on projects, special tasks, and reporting as assigned by Supervisor. The Billing Specialist Lead is accountable for developing and producing accurate, customized invoices and submitting to the client on time. The Billing Specialist Lead will need to work closely with the customers in their assigned portfolio to provide timely and accurate invoicing that can be paid and collected within desired timeline.

Job RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to)

  • Responsible to support the Billing Specialist role with commonly asked questions and on-going training
  • Responsible for providing lead support on projects, special tasks, and reporting as assigned by Supervisor
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert during meetings with organization's cross-functional teams
  • Liaison for internal and external audits partners
  • Liaison for process review with Process Analyst team
  • Provide escalation support to Billing Specialist
  • Responsible for on time and accurate billing
  • Prepare customized billing formats as needed
  • Work with Key Account Sales to identify and correct pricing issues
  • Work with Key Account Sales to resolve equipment discrepancies
  • Manage and maintain A/R for assigned accounts
  • Research and identify root cause of recurring billing issues, adjustments, and other related issues
  • Collaborate with internal and external customers to ensure that all discrepancies are handled in a timely manner
  • Assist the Key Account Sales team (Key Account Managers or Territory Account Executives) with reconciliation of accounts
