Overview

Hexagon's Autonomy & Positioning division is looking for a talented Team Lead of PR and Communications to drive our communication strategy internally and externally. You'll oversee a team to develop and execute PR and communication plans to boost Hexagon's Autonomy & Positioning division's visibility, ensuring cohesive messaging across channels like social media, campaigns, presentations and press releases.

As part of the Marketing Communications team at Hexagon's Autonomy & Positioning division, this position will join a high-performance team focused on creating impactful Marketing that inspires confidence in our company and technologies. Our customers rely on our industry-leading technology when building their solutions. Within Hexagon's Autonomy & Positioning division, your work will contribute to the operation of our brands NovAtel, AutonomouStuff, Veripos and Antcom.

The Location: Hexagon is a global company with offices around the world. This is a hybrid position based in Calgary, Alberta. We will consider remote work in Canada or the US for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

As our Team Lead of PR and Communications, responsibilities include:

    Lead the PR and Communications team, overseeing all aspects of communication strategies and initiatives
  • Develop and execute comprehensive PR plans to enhance Hexagon's A&P awareness and thought leadership, including pitches, media materials and crisis communication strategies
  • Ensure alignment and support execution across various channels, including social media, campaigns, newsletters, ABM materials, press releases, presentations and more
  • Ensure consistent application of brand guidelines across all communication materials and initiatives
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Corporate Marketing, Portfolio and campaign management, and diverse stakeholders to ensure messaging alignment and consistency
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive internal communications strategy tailored to business needs, including messaging, communication channels and engaging tactics
  • Drive content innovation to maximize team performance and achieve impactful outcomes
  • Analyse PR and communications metrics to measure effectiveness and make data-driven recommendations for improvement
  • Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance, feedback and professional development opportunities
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, news and best practices to continuously innovate and optimise PR and communication strategies
Qualifications

Must-Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or related field
  • Proven experience (min 5 years) in a PR or communications role
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in English
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with media contacts, stakeholders and internal teams
  • Team management experience, with a track record of effectively managing people, prioritizing tasks and driving results
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • The role may involve up to 20% travel and may require international travel for events
