We are excited to announce the opening of a new Staff Secure Residential Treatment program in the Saugus, MA, area and we are hiring a Program Director. This new initiative will expand our reach and enhance our ability to serve our community effectively. The new Saugus area Girls Program will be dedicated to fostering positive change in young females involved with the Department of Youth Services, aged 13-18 through a comprehensive range of services designed to enhance their behavioral, educational, and social skills.
As part of our mission, we currently operate two treatment facilities in partnership with the Department of Youth Services: the Kennedy School in Middleton, MA, a Secure Treatment program serving young men, and the New Beginnings Center for Youth in South Hadley MA, a staff secure residential program, serving young women. These programs are pivotal in providing the necessary support for our residents to successfully reintegrate into their communities and become the best versions of themselves.
Our approach is holistic and tailored to the individual needs of each resident, encompassing educational opportunities (high school, college or Hi-SET courses), life skills training, therapeutic services, and recreational activities. The therapeutic services are particularly focused on helping residents develop strategies to improve coping skills and make positive decisions, becoming the best versions of themselves.
Who we Seek
The Secure Treatment Program Director will oversee all aspects of our new Secure Treatment Program, leading an interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality delivery and adherence to agency standards. This leadership role is crucial for managing operations, ensuring compliance, and driving continuous improvement to achieve program objectives. The primary responsibilities include:
  • Program Oversight: You will be responsible for the overall management and administration of the program and implement Trauma Informed Care and Attachment, Regulation, and Competency (ARC) treatment philosophies of the agency.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee and ensure the highest quality of service delivery is a key responsibility. This will involve monitoring and evaluating program activities to ensure that they meet or exceed established standards and goals.
  • Team Leadership: Leads a team of Direct Care Staff and other professionals to provide leadership, guidance, and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensures that the program complies with all relevant regulations, policies, and standards and will also be responsible for overseeing and working with a multidisciplinary leadership team to ensure the program meets accreditation standards.
  • Budget Management: Managing the program's budget, including allocation of resources, tracking expenditures, and ensuring fiscal responsibility.
  • Crisis Management: You will Act as the restraint coordinator and work towards reducing physical restraint of students and ensure post-restraint procedures are followed. You will also Perform verbal and physical de-escalation as needed to ensure the safety of students and fellow employees in accordance with agency.
Who You Are
You will have a minimum of two years of residential leadership experience and strong written and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, and a valid driver's license is required. The ideal candidate will have experience working with DYS and other state agencies and have comfort working with external partners.

Shift:
40 hours; Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm. On call support required

$2,500 Sign-On Incentive
This position is eligible for the RFK Community Alliance Sign-On Incentive in the amount of $2,500 in your first year of employment. You will receive $500 after 3 months; $500 after 6 months; $1,500 after 12 months.
