Position Summary

The security worker ensures the safety of people, objects, or buildings, either in person or via security cameras. As there are many types of threats and dangers, from harassment to homeless trespassing. Especially working at LA Silvercrest, it is very important that the security worker is equipped with a quick response to tenants' emergencies because most of our tenants are elderlies.

Essential Functions

  • Monitors any potential hazards that can cause property losses and damage.
  • Inform violators/intruders of policy and procedures.
  • Secure premises by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance camera, and access point.
  • Grants access for vendors and delivery persons and making records, as necessary.
  • Investigates security breaches, incidents, and any other irregularities and makes reports to supervisors, as necessary.

Working Conditions

Ability to walk, stand, bend squat climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis. Ability to be able to lift up to 50lbs. Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as file cabinet drawers and reach overhead.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Speaking Korean or Spanish is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and follow up skills.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Show a positive attitude and show respect to each individual.
  • MUST BE WILLING WORK ON HOLIDAYS

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, written, and communication skills.
  • Excellent decision making /discerning skills.
  • Must be alert at all times.
