Job Description

The Role -

Amphenol Commercial Air is seeking a Marketing Trainee to work out of its state-of-the-art facility in Sidney, NY.

The successful candidate will report to the Marketing Director and go through rotations through Customer Service, Technical Product Support, and General Marketing to develop a working knowledge of Amphenol products, systems, and internal/external organization, leading to a future position in product marketing and career development within the organization.

The key responsibilities of the Marketing Trainee include, but are not limited to:

Customer Service

  • Quote and order entry
  • Quality RMA's, expedites, and delinquency tracking
  • Customer phone calls

Customer Technical Support

  • Technical training of connector products
  • Spec file, drawing management, customer quality clauses
  • Customer technical issues

Product Line Support and Management

  • Cost reduction products
  • Program tracking
  • Pricing support

Salary $58,460 - $64,000

Location -

  • Sidney, NY
    • 30 Minute Drive from Binghamton, NY
    • 20 Minute Drive from Oneonta, NY

The Person -

The key skills and qualities of a Marketing Trainee at Amphenol Commercial Air:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business or engineering or other technical discipline
  • Ability to understand engineering drawings
  • Ability to interface at all levels of departmental and top management
  • Ability to promote and sell their products
  • Highly organized, self-motivated
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Capable of learning and using Amphenol's operating programs
  • Prolonged periods of sitting, typing, pc usage
  • Travel (air and car), approximately 10%
