This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams and locations.

As part of a small, passionate, and accomplished team of strategy, marketing, and sales experts, you will support civil business development and sales efforts for spaceflight systems and products across all Blue Origin Business Units. We seek to establish new partnerships and expand our existing portfolio with domestic and international civil agencies across suborbital, LEO, the Moon, and beyond.

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed sales and revenue targets across all Blue Origin Business Units by supporting pursuit of civil sales opportunities with NASA and other relevant domestic and international agencies.
  • Support formulation and execution of comprehensive capture and bid strategies for civil sales opportunities, including development of proposals, responses to customer solicitations, and other pursuit efforts.
  • Develop, strengthen, and maintain customer relationships across civil space communities at NASA and other relevant agencies.
  • Identify, develop, and mature markets for company capabilities by creating new offerings to meet customer needs, finding new customers for existing capabilities, and shaping civil programs of interest.
  • Track USG and international civil programs of interest, including budget, legislative actions, industry participation, and technical requirements.
  • Assist in developing company positions on programs and procurements via whitepapers and other methods.
  • Support assessment of competitor capabilities and offerings to understand corporate market position.
  • Support internal teams across Blue Origin in regular assessment of corporate strategy, communications, policy positioning, etc. in support of civil sales objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in business development and sales.
  • Direct experience conducting capture and proposal development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills for tracking customers, compiling proposals, and meeting deadlines.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to conferences, customer meetings, and Blue Origin facilities nationwide.

Preferred

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Direct experience working with NASA.
  • Understanding of and experience with government budgeting and legislative processes.

Compensation range for on site WA applicants is $115,920-$162,288
