SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Tamarack Materials, Inc. EIFS & Stucco Outside Sales staff is responsible for all sales activities from lead generation through close in an assigned territory. This role will develop and implement the agreed-upon Company Marketing Plan. The individual will work toward the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals in line with company vision and values, and his/her own personal business goals. Experience with building envelope principals and product knowledge of building materials.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for all steps of the EIFS (Exterior Insulation Finishing System) products sales process, including: preparing action plans by accounts and product line, effective search and follow-through of sales leads and new customers
  • Knowledge of colors and color matching
  • Overall knowledge of construction/building materials best practices
  • Supplement EIFS & Stucco Sales with general line sales
  • Coordinate and schedule product demos with vendor support
  • Call on architects, owners, and contractors to introduce and technically consult on Stucco and other exterior building materials and services
  • Identify and execute on opportunities for up-sell and cross-sell
  • Establish rapport with customers, building long-term, repeat customer relationships
  • Work closely with manufacturing partners and independent reps to drive sales
  • Be proficient in product knowledge to assist the customer in buying decisions
  • Provide timely and accurate competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity, sales, and pricing
  • Gather competitive market and pricing information
  • Work closely with existing sales team in growing category with established customers and developing new prospects within defined territory
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Licensing/Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Four (4) year Business or Marketing degree preferred
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience selling value-added products in a building materials related industry required
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Three-year motor vehicle history report must meet Company requirements

  • Ability to self-manage, show initiative and be proactive
  • Communicate professionally with coworkers and customers both verbally and in writing
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills required

  • Experience in all aspects of supplier relationship management
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills. Ability learn vendor websites.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to lift 70 pounds occasionally
  • Occasionally, will move about inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc.
  • Must be able to operate basic office machinery
  • Constantly, working in an office environment
  • Occasionally, working in an outside environment

  • Must be able to problem solve and prioritize tasks
