U.S. Facilities, Inc., a consolidated facility management/infrastructure service organization, is seeking a Part-Time Maintenance Technician. This is a great opportunity for Students or those who may be retired with mechanical experience and looking for extra income. The position is located at our site in Richmond, VA. The applicant will be responsible for the following:

• The hours are Monday through Thursday, 4:30 am until 8:30 am, and alternating Fridays, 4:30 am-8:30 am, and Sundays, 6:30 am-11:30 am.

This person would be responsible for opening the building (located in Richmond, VA) and ensuring everything is functioning properly before it opens to the public. Promptness is required and mandatory.

Must have transportation.

Responsibilities

• Performing routine maintenance around the building, such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door, or wall repair
• Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures
• Working on damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or severed wire occurs
• Making sure HVAC equipment is in working order to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly
• Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries

Knowledge and Experience

Basic Commercial building maintenance experience, Equipment Maintenance, Technical Understanding, Technical troubleshooting, Dealing with Uncertainty, Basic Safety, Power Tools, Attention to Detail, Flexibility, Job Knowledge, Productivity

May be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth above to address business needs and changing business practices.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Training

High School Diploma or GED equivalent, basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical repair work.

Licenses, Certifications, Requirements

* Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.

* Possession of a valid driver's license is a requirement for this job

Working Conditions

-Not rigorous work, mostly making rounds before the building is open to the public to ensure that everything is safe and in working order.
