Job Description

Hill International is seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer in Baltimore, Maryland


  • Supporting Construction Management and Inspection (CMI) contract up to 5 years.
  • Documentation of the daily construction activities performed by the contractor and review of inspection team reporting following the Owner's documentation requirements.
  • Coordination and communication with the inspection team on daily work activities to maintain quality assurance of the completed work.
  • Review the contractor's progress at all times. Monitor the material incorporated in the work, the materials stored at the site, and the contractor's manpower and equipment.
  • Coordinate with contractor's supervisory personnel regarding schedule, sequence, and method of work. Assign inspection personnel on a daily basis to adequately cover contractor's operations.
  • Attend weekly, monthly, and other progress meetings held at the site as required.

  • BS degree - Engineering/Construction or related field.
  • 5+ years in project engineering/management, construction management, engineering or related role.
  • Previous project experience on Airport construction; or similar to airport such as construction around active, secure and operational and public buildings; roads/paving.
  • Industry credentials preferred - PE, CCM, PMP, EIT, CMIT.
